Tools to Measure Health & Well-being for Infrastructure Development

The built environment can greatly impact the health and well-being of all visitors to the space. Developers, planners, and other build environment professionals have a significant role to plan to make sure these places are doing all they can to support their surrounding communities. IWBI is hosting a webinar to showcase tools developers, planners, and other built environment professionals can use to integrate health and well-being factors in infrastructure development.

Becky Ofrane (Co-Director of City Health Dashboard, housed at NYU School of Medicine’s Department of Population Health) and Upali Nanda (Principal and Global Director of Research for HKS) will provide an overview of how their organizations use data on health and well-being to influence infrastructure and development. Each speaker will hold a fireside chat Q&A after their overview, followed by a whole group Q&A for attendees to ask more questions.

The webinar will answer three questions:

  • How do these tools impact health and well-being?
  • How can data aggregated from these tools be used and what type of insights can it bring?
  • How can the results from the data analysis be used to make better informed decisions about development and infrastructure choices?

Audience:

  • Private built environment professionals, such as developers, engineers, and planners
  • Researchers and scientists who are interested in evaluating built environment impact
