Investing for Health: Elevating Health Across the ESG and Social Sustainability Landscape
The Stakeholder Capitalism Caucus, co-chaired by Reps. Phillips (D-MN) and Houlahan (D-PA), presents a session with IWBI leadership focused on how investors and corporations are exploring ways to elevate human health, well-being and equity at organizational scale and drive action on social sustainability
Around the world, environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles have been guiding organizations into the future. The impact of these strategies has the power to better inform corporate success, but also shape the future of stakeholder capitalism — from the sustainability of the products and services we purchase, to the equity policies of the businesses where investors want to stake their money. Increasingly, investors, regulators and organizations are prioritizing the value of health and the critical role it plays in predicting corporate risk and return. Simply put, health is material to an organization’s bottom line. This session focuses on how investors and corporations are exploring ways to elevate human health, well-being and equity at organizational scale and drive action on social sustainability.
The event will kick-off with opening remarks from the Caucus co-chairs and co-founders, Reps. Phillips (D-MN) and Houlahan (D-PA), followed by featured panel speakers who will provide their unique perspectives about how leading organizations are embracing health strategies to reshape organizational performance, culture and ESG reporting.
