IWBI is at Futurebuild 2023
The International WELL Building is excited to return as an Association Partner for the 17th edition of Futurebuild, taking place on the 07 - 09 March 2023 at London’s ExCeL. Futurebuild provides the stage for inspiring ideas, innovative solutions and knowledge sharing to drive sustainable construction and help us reach our goal of net zero.
IWBI is facilitating three sessions for the Interiors Hub, which focuses on health and well-being in building design, materials, build and use. Visit to find manufacturers and suppliers from all areas of commercial and domestic interiors – including healthy buildings, kitchens, bathrooms, washrooms, surfaces, flooring, lighting, appliances and technology – to meet an audience of influential contract specifiers.
Session 1
Date: Tuesday 7 March 10.30-11.15 GMT
Title: Understanding Impact – the WELL Equity Rating
Description: Creating comfortable, empowering spaces for people to thrive involves more than physical design. Research has shown that 76 percent of job candidates seek out companies that prioritise diversity, and global companies with more gender diversity are 21 percent more profitable than their less-diverse peers. Studies have also shown that women are at more risk for burnout than their male counterparts, underlining the need for greater parity. As more organisations look to improve talent recruitment and retention, and bolster productivity, the International WELL Building Institute has developed the WELL Equity Rating, a set of evidence-based strategies from the WELL Building Standard for taking action toward diversity, equity and inclusion goals and driving improvements in company culture and resilience, to meet the moment. Join us to discuss the new rating, and the social value of health and well-being in the built environment.
- Ann Marie Aguilar, Senior Vice President, Commercial, International WELL Building Institute

Explore how to enhance nature connections to support physical and mental wellbeing across all aspects of the built environment; from individual wellbeing to enhancing communities connections in the spaces and places so important to our lives.
Session 3
Date: Thursday 9 March 11.30-12.15 GMT
