Speaker Spotlight: A Prescription for Well-being: Places that Put People First
Part of the DNA of the WELL Summit is bringing our community closer, and one way to do that is getting to know more about our speakers and what personally drives their commitment to the movement. In putting people first, we want to highlight their perspectives on place and space, as well as the role of well-being in their everyday life.

What is the one thing you do every day that helps protect your health and well-being?
I work out almost every day.
What’s your favorite place—to work, relax, stay or be—and why?
- To work: any place I can be productive and create value.
- To relax: the beach…it’s therapeutic for me.
- To stay: I have a nomadic spirit, so visiting new countries, languages and cultures where I can immerse myself in the built environment and its people.
- To be: any place with my family….especially the beach and other countries.
Why? All of the aforementioned are epigenetic inputs that, if addressed appropriately, can optimize your gene expression helping you to live younger, longer, happier, healthier–and cheaper!
What is the most pressing issue regarding your session today?
Educating the public as to the most overlooked essential variable needed to optimize health and wellness, the built environment itself.
