New practitioner’s guide explores nature’s role in creating positive spaces
With growing interest and investment in health and well-being from the real estate, architecture and design communities, manufacturers too have elevated the concept of human-centred design within their practices.
A global leader in its field, Interface has launched a practitioner’s guide to inspire and inform architects and designers on how to design according to the principles outlined in the WELL Building Standard.
“Creating Positive Spaces Using the WELL Building Standard” is co-authored by biophilia expert Oliver Heath and Interface, with input from IWBI, and captures insights from industry leaders. The new guide aims to explore the value of human-centric design, understand how nature can inspire the creation of positive spaces and examine the future of sustainable buildings. It also features innovative WELL Certified projects including Cundall’s One Carter Lane in London, CBRE’s Madrid office and Arup Boston – all of which achieved WELL certification at the Gold level.
