Global Research Agenda: Impact Topic 1 - Climate Change
How do we build a smarter and more resilient infrastructure that considers climate change AND human health?
The scale of climate change can be overwhelming and difficult to link to our daily lives. Climate change adaptation and mitigation practices at a city and building scale have created innovative design, construction and policy practices. These include green and sustainable building practices; restorative, regenerative, and net zero design; regenerative sustainability; net positive policies; and climate resilience. What is less clear is how to design buildings and policies that support both human and climate health. This Climate Change Brief outlines gaps and opportunities in this area, sample research questions to catalyze change, and tools, case studies, and a call to action. It is the first in a series of Impact Topics highlighting the Global Research Agenda.
