Cristina Gamboa

Cristina is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC), the strongest local-regional-global network leading the transformation of the built environment to make it healthier and sustainable. The WorldGBC global network, with its Green Building Councils (GBCs) in around 70 countries, inspires and drives action to deliver on the ambition of the Paris Agreement and UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development to secure a net-zero and equitable future. Before becoming the CEO of the WorldGBC, she was the CEO of the Colombia Green Building Council and the organisation achieved under her leadership multiple milestones which lead to sustainable construction to become mainstream. Cristina earned a degree in Economics from the University of Los Andes and her master’s degree in International Relations and Economics from SAIS-Johns Hopkins University.
