Dr. Benny Chow is the Director of Sustainability at Aedas Ltd, focusing on sustainable building design, building physics, Green-BIM, building performance simulation, ESG performance, embodied carbon study and healthcare engineering design. Dr. Chow is now appointed as the Director of BEAM Society Limited, the committee member of the USGBC LEED Data Centers Advisory (China) Committee, the committee member of the CSUC China Green Building Council, Shenzhen SZJS Green Building Professional Committee, Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission (Green building and low carbon development) and the Leader of the Ventilation & Health TWG (ASHRAE 170 – Ventilation of Health Care Facilities) of ASHRAE (Hong Kong Chapter).

Dr. Chow was the Honorary Associate Professor in the HKU Department of Mechanical Engineering, focusing on computational fluid dynamics, the Adjunct Associate Professor of the CUHK Institute of the Earth and Space Information Science focusing on spatial data integrations, and the Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Medicine at CUHK focusing on indoor infectious diseases control and prevention, and healthy built environment research. Dr. Chow has a strong academic track record in journal publications, including NATURE SR, HKMJ, CHEST, AJRCCM, and ERJ. Besides, Dr. Chow was the Director of the Hong Kong Green Building Council and the Chairman of the Industry Standard and Practice Committee previously. Benny brings with him more than 27 years of project experience in Sustainable Design and has been involved in more than 400 projects located in more than 40 cities.
