Director, Well-being Operations and Delivery

At Aetna, I am responsible for developing and delivering fitness and well-being programs and ancillary services for Aetna employees and retirees, employee and retiree spouses and domestic partners and business associates. My primary responsibilities include: develop and implement Aetna’s well-being strategy and tactics; develop, deliver, and evaluate programs; manage and develop staff; provide technical expertise in the proposal, design and construction of new facilities; develop effective marketing and retention plans; and prepare and monitor business plans, projects and budgets.

I have over 37 years of experience in fitness and wellness program management. I have a successful track record for designing and implementing innovative programs and services to meet changing business needs. Programs I designed or managed include Workplace Well-being Design Standards, fitness/wellness centers, integrated disability management unit, onsite physical therapy clinics, Get Active Aetna and Well-being incentives program. My leadership helped position Aetna as a nationally recognized best practice company for health promotion and disease prevention, twice earning the C. Everett Koop National Health Award and 12 times earning the “Best Employer for Healthy Lifestyles Platinum Award” by the National Business Group on Health.

I hold a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science and Administration from Syracuse University. I have served on the Board of Directors for the Leukemia Society, American Heart Association, the Connecticut Center for Health and Fitness, Simsbury Babe Ruth Baseball and Simsbury Gridiron Football Club. My community volunteer work includes coaching youth football, basketball, baseball, and hockey.
