Alexander Grella

General Manager

Alex Grella is a seasoned professional with over twenty years of experience in management, administration, and operations of real estate in both corporate and commercial environments. Mr. Grella has served as General Manager of Brandywine Realty Trust’s University City portfolio since 2015.
Prior to becoming the General Manager of Brandywine Realty Trust’s University City portfolio, Mr. Grella worked as the General Manager of FMC Tower, Philadelphia’s first true “vertical neighborhood,” a progressively-designed urban campus that redefines workspace utilization for the next generation.

Preceding Mr. Grella’s employment with Brandywine Realty Trust, he worked for Reit Management & Research LLC, CIGNA Corporate Real Estate, and Jackson Cross Company, all contributing to his twenty years of management expertise.

Mr. Grella is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), Association of Facilities Engineering (AFE), International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), where he serves as the Sustainability Committee Co-Chairman. In addition, Mr. Grella served on the Board of Directors (2005-2008), the Executive Committee (2010-2013), and Chair (2013-2014) of the Building Owners & Managers Association of Philadelphia (BOMA).

Mr. Grella has received professional credentialing from the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission, Building Owners and Managers Institute, Green Building Certification Institution as a LEED and WELL accredited professional, Center for Active Design, the Association of Facilities Engineering, and the City of Philadelphia as a Class A Operating Engineer.
