Nicole Crone
Mechanical Engineer & Project Manager
Nicole strives to integrate sustainability, wellness and high-performance engineering design on all of her projects. She reaches across disciplines to find simple and cost-effective solutions to complex, technical challenges.
Her decade of experience as a mechanical engineer and project manager in the San Francisco Bay Area has included Living and Well Building certified projects, as well as dozens of LEED spaces. In 2019, she shared her experience with the larger community as a speaker at both the USGBC GreenerBuilder Conference in San Francisco and the USGBC Greenbuild Conference in Atlanta. In 2020, a medical office building she led the MEP design for was certified all-electric net-zero-energy (measured and verified) and LEED Platinum, one of the very first of it’s kind. She is an engineering leader in the natural refrigerant (low/no carbon) space, with projects ranging from a school district’s commissary to a flagship (WELL registered) grocery store for one of the largest companies in the world. She is a practitioner in healthy air design including advanced air filtration and post-occupancy air quality monitoring and controls.
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. As a lifelong learner she has continued her education by taking select courses at UC Berkeley, and by maintaining her LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, Fitwell Ambassador, and RESET Air AP credentials.
