Joseph Scholz

Partner - Director of Technical Development, WELL Performance Testing Organisation Lead

Joseph Scholz is an Environmental Engineer (Hons) and Director at QED Environmental Services. Joe has been responsible for technical development of QED’s national indoor air quality management programmes for the Commercial Property Industry, which for some buildings have now reached >15 years.
Joseph has been a member of numerous industry groups and professional associations dealing with the Built Environment, including;CASANZ Indoor Air Quality SIG Chair, the Property Council Sustainable Development Committee (WA), Green Star Certified Assessor and Faculty member, Technical Expert for air quality on the Green Star Performance Rating Tool.

More recently Joseph has been investigating the link between the Indoor Environment and health and wellbeing, and how these may be rated and then improved in buildings around Australia.
He has presented at numerous conferences and releases, including the NABERS Indoor Environment Roadshow (2015), Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand National Conference Sydney (2013), The 10th International Conference of the International Society of Indoor Air Quality and Climate Brisbane (2012), AIRAH Pre-Loved Buildings Conference Perth (2011), The Future of HVAC Brisbane (2016). Joe is a WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP), a WELL Performance Testing Agent and the Lead for QED WELL Performance Testing Organisation.
