Nate is a Managing Principal of BranchPattern, a consulting engineering and building science firm. He brings 20 years combined experience in leading strategy for sustainable high-performance engineering projects. Nate has served as an advising consultant to the United States General Services Administration’s Office of High-performance Green Buildings, Department of Energy’s Net-Zero Commercial Building Initiative, and State of Colorado Governor’s Energy Office. He is a member and former Regional Representative of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). He has also served two terms as a State Board Member for the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
Nate has helped hundreds of clients achieve lasting building performance and enhance their organizational objectives. His clients include real estate investment firms, federal agencies, and educational institutions such as Prologis, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, and Carnegie Mellon University. His projects include three (3) Net-Zero Energy Buildings, 250 LEED Certified Buildings, five (5) NAIOP Sustainable Development Award Winners, six (6) GSA Design Excellence Award Winners, two (2) National AIA COTE Winners, and one (1) WELL Certified Building.
