Rich Bira

VP of Innovation & Research

Rich Bira, VP of Innovation & Research at Delos, is driven professionally and personally by the vision of how technology can improve people’s lives in their homes. At Delos, we recognize the significance of technology in optimizing our indoor environments to be responsive to our health and wellness needs, particularly as it relates to smart building controls and IoT.

Before joining Delos, Rich was the Managing Director of Fibaro Home Intelligence, a premier designer, developer, and manufacturer of innovative smart home products in over 100 countries. He was instrumental in expanding the Fibaro brand into the US market by leading their US strategic partnership development, product development & certification, marketing strategy, and business development initiatives.

Rich comes from a background at the intersection of smart homes and real estate, which has proven valuable in his keen understanding of the connected home from the end consumer’s perspective. In addition to being an accomplished Smart home expert and highly regarded in the industry, he comes from a background in the Real Estate sector, with over 20 years of experience in financing, home builder, and renovation of homes. He currently holds a managing broker’s license, which allows him to keep up to date with real estate trends and best practices.
