Namhyuck Ahn

Building Science Specialist

Namhyuck Ahn is a dedicated building scientist with extensive design and research experience in the building sector. Working in a collaborative environment, he is an active member of the corporate research&development group at LG Hausys–one of the leading manufacturers in the global building materials/products industry.

His research focuses on developing innovative building products and ventilation systems for residential buildings and optimizing building assemblies for both new construction and building retrofit to improve the indoor environmental quality for occupants and maximize the energy efficiency of buildings. As a building science specialist, he performs building energy simulation, laboratory and field testing of building assemblies for material evaluation and building performance assessment. He is a LEED accredited professional with a demonstrated ability in technical analysis to support material and product recommendations. He loves to collaborate with architects, engineers, and scientists for a holistic approach to creating a healthy and sustainable built environment for all.

He holds a Master of Architecture with a specialization in historic preservation from the University of Texas at Austin as well as a Bachelor of Architecture from Hanyang University.
