Larry Brydon
Vice President, Business Development and Regulatory Affairs at Cricket Energy Holdings Inc
Larry Brydon is the VP of Business Development and Regulatory Affairs with Cricket Energy Holdings Inc (Cricket Energy). Cricket Energy and it’s affiliates are a vertically integrated energy services organization providing simulation modelling, design, integration and installation of electrical and renewable energy systems in the hi rise and low rise residential, and district community sectors . He is a LEED AP with extensive experience in the energy efficiency and carbon reduction NGO marketplace with a focus on innovation and knowledge transfer to the Development community. As a member of the Owner’s advisory team, he supports a diverse range of interests including OZZ Electric and Trilliant Networks, a global communications Company delivering smart building technologies to hi rise residential construction.
Larry currently sits on the Board of Directors for iiSBE, EnerQuality Corporation and is a Founding Director and current Chair of Sustainable Buildings Canada. As a Board member for BILD, the building industry and land development association, he co-chaired the start-up of the Industries Green Committee and represented associate members position in the Associations governance review. Past Board experience has included serving as a founding Board Member and Past Chair of the Canada Green Building Council’s Toronto Chapter and the Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance.
Larry chaired the Energy Subcommittee as a member of the team that developed LEED Canada for Neiborhood Development and has been active in the development of the Energystar for New Homes and multifamily buildings program. He is currently leading the SBC initiative to bring Energiesprong International, an EU deep energy retrofit program to Canada, and is part of the team that developed and now delivers the Enbridge and Union Gas Savings by Design conservation and demand management programs.
As a strong advocate for green buildings and sustainable community development, Larry brings his International experience with iiSBE to the Toronto and Ontario Home Builders and Land Developers Associations in organizing annual International Housing Tours that focus on smart communities and clean energy districts.
