Ivan Judson
CTO
Ivan R. Judson, PhD is a technology and organizational strategist, currently a Principal Program Manager at Microsoft. Ivan built high performance computing systems, large format projection displays, and advanced collaborative workspaces integrating room-based multimedia suites with CAVE based immersive virtual reality systems while at Argonne National Laboratory. At Montana State University in Bozeman, he taught undergraduate and graduate Computer Science courses and created the Research Computing Group to provide production compute and data management services to support the universities’ $100M research enterprise. Ivan left the academia to establish a development office for Workiva in Bozeman, MT recruiting 40 engineers to create five product teams. In 2013, he joined Microsoft Research as a Program Manager for Codalab.org, he followed his passion to solve customer problems to the Developers Experience (DX), Cloud & Enterprise (C & E – Azure, IoT), Commercial Software Engineering (CSE) , and now MS Learn organization. Ivan has a passion for startups and served as CTO of Medilync, an Icelandic startup focused on using Machine Learning to improve disease management with an initial focus on diabetes and dementia. He is now CTO of House X, an innovative portfolio of companies driving sustainable new home construction, through unique purchasing opportunities.
