Edward Palka

Project Architect & Manager

Edward is an Architect living in New York City. He is a Project Architect & Manager at Assembly OSM working on the design and delivery of Assembly’s first projects. He is a licensed Architect who has worked in the profession for over a decade – most recently at SHoP Architects – on a wide variety of project types & scales ranging from residential towers to a US Embassy, a large tech campus, & multiple mixed-use developments.

His work and interests lie at the intersection of design, process, & technology, in the service of realizing spaces that are resilient, healthy, beautiful, and truly sustainable. Key to these goals is an interest in how research can drive informed decision-making and innovation within the architectural profession.

He also writes for the New York Review of Architecture, is a Concept Advisor for the WELL Standard, has presented at the Facade Tectonic World Congress, and acted as a Researcher for the NCARB Analysis of Practice. Edward holds a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Minnesota.
