Tom Stack
Director of Design
I am currently the Director of Design for BLD Architecture. We build ideas, research and relationships—as well as cities, buildings and environments. BLD Architecture is a design practice focused on bringing innovation and responsiveness to our clients and field. We make architecture that is thoughtful, essential, elegant and timeless.
I started my career in 1990 designing buildings for typologies such as office, municipal, government and religious. In 1998, I began designing and overseeing construction for interiors in Manhattan. Working with clients directly and generating strategies alongside business leaders. Working with client types such as law firms, insurance companies and other corporate office headquarters. I have designed corporate headquarters for Lufthansa Airlines, Aer Lingus and Leviton. Leviton received a LEED CI Certified Rating in which I served as the sustainability manager in addition to leading the design team. I have also designed products for the Interior Contract Design industry ranging from seating to storage and worktables.
My education, an A.A.S. in Architectural Technology-Erie Community College, a Bachelor Architecture-Syracuse and Master of Architecture-Cornell University, brings a formal response as well as practical application to projects. My credentials include registered architect (state of NY), LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, Six Sigma (Black Belt) and training at the Dale Carnegie Institute. I am a mentor at Everwise, as I am passionate about sharing my experiences with others by speaking on topics regarding self-motivation and leadership building.
