Robert Crocker
Director, Strategic Clinical Planning and Implemetation
Robert “Rocky” Crocker, MD, a 2007 IM fellowship graduate, joined the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine (AWCIM) in 2012. His first task was to guide the development and support the opening of the UA Integrative Health Center in Phoenix, a new innovative model for integrative primary care. He was involved in the development of the AWCIM’s Integrative Health and Lifestyle program, of AWCIM’s Integrative Health & Wellness Coaching program and in the development of AWCIM’s mobile device integrative self-care app, My Wellness Coach. He also is leading the development of the first Integrative Medicine Practice Standards and serves as a consultant helping individuals and organizations in other parts of the world develop integrative strategies and centers.
Prior to coming to AWCIM, Dr. Crocker was the chief medical officer of American Specialty Health, and prior to that was the national medical director for WellPoint Health Networks. Dr. Crocker has served as a health consultant, providing oversight of previous humanitarian relief efforts in Central Asia, and more recently has been working with aboriginal communities in Australia. He has been involved in Native American communities in part due to his Native American heritage.
