Mchezaji Axum

Director of Urban Agriculture (Agronmist)

Mchezaji “Che” Axum is the Director of Urban Agriculture for the University of The District of Columbia . He currently leads a team of researchers at the University’s Research Farm , located in Beltsville Md. Mr. Axum had worked for the USDA-ARS for 20years, taught middle school science and is a successful agricultural consultant and a certified nutrient management consultant. He is a member of the American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society and Soil Science Society of America.
