Jennifer Kovarik
Supervisor & Founder
Jennifer’s passion is to comfortably connect people to the outside environment. After years of creating innovative policy, design, and strategic planning for the National Park Service, she found true value not in the “once in a lifetime landscape experiences” but in the “everyday experiences with the local landscape.” After studying the medical benefits of nature, Jennifer strives to design influential environments for human connection. She has over twenty years of experience nationally in land management, development, and municipal design that thoughtfully improved and shaped environments. As Faculty at the College of Architecture and Planning at the University of Colorado, Jennifer teaches multidisciplinary graduate projects that emphasize connections between the built environment, community, and health while working in underserved communities throughout Colorado. She has led students successfully on over thirty projects with direct improvements to benefit health and wellness. Her side practice, Exolution focuses on private sector projects improving behavior and the environment. Jennifer holds a Graduate Certificate in Public Health, a Master of Landscape Architecture, a Master of Urban and Regional Planning, a B.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Science, and a Health Coach Certificate. Both a Licensed Landscape Architect and an AICP Certified Planner, Jennifer also paints abstract art.
