Jenna Mikus

Managing Principal at Eudae Group & Sessional Academic at QUT

I have an educational background in mechanical engineering (BSc from the US) and sustainable environmental design (MSc from the UK) and am currently pursuing a PhD in Design (in Australia).

The first 10 years of my career were spent doing strategy consulting across IT, service design, and transformational change and the last 10 years were focused on sustainable and health-focused design with the use of smart building technologies. I have worked and studied internationally and am currently consulting and studying/teaching in Australia.
• Consulting-As the founder of the Eudae Group, I leverage my background in engineering, sustainable architecture, building intelligence, and strategic design thinking to assist building owners/operators and design firms in anticipating and preparing for market trends. These include but are not limited to crafting pragmatic solutions that balance Smart & Connected Portfolios, Engaging Environments & Experiences, and Health & Wellness-focused Design, especially in on ongoing COVID economy.
• Studying/Teaching-As a PhD candidate in QUT’s School of Design, I seek to deepen my understanding of people, technology, and spaces–how they interrelate and how they can symbiotically support one another for optimal human and environmental health–while teaching design thinking-related courses across Schools of Business, Engineering/Built Environment, and Design internationally.
