Elizabeth Torres

Sustainability Specialist

Professional in sustainable development, head of SEUS: Universal Equity and Sustainability (SEUS), dedicated to promoting sustainability in Mexico and Latin America.

She has more than ten years of experience working with frontline communities and groups, corporate social responsibility, education in environmental issues, combating climate change, Environmental psychology, and the built environment.

Elizabeth has led the successful implementation of different standards of corporate social responsibility and sustainability such as GRI, ISO 26000: 2010 corporate social responsibility guidelines, Empresa Socialmente Responsable by the Centro Mexicano de Filantropía (Cemefi), Global Reporting Initiative, JUST Organization, among others. She volunteered as a member of the USGBC Social Equity Working Group committee in the development, creation,
and dissemination of the LEED pilot credits for Social Equity and the promotion of strategies to carry social impact across LEED and USGBC. She has participated as a speaker in national
and international forums such as Greenbuild México and Living Future unConference. She was recognized as one of the young leaders in sustainability by the GreenBiz publication in its 2018 edition, “30 under 30”. She now serves as a leader and mentor of Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project.
