Dawn Latham

Association Executive

Dawn P. Latham, IOM, CAE brings around 30 years of experience in association/nonprofit management and policy. She was the Director of Public Policy for the International Association of Lighting Designers. In this global policy role, she supported strategic endeavors to help elevate the lighting design profession among key influencers. Prior to IALD, she served as the Senior Director, Government Relations at the American Red Cross, working on several legislative and regulatory matters critical to this mission-driven organization. Before the American Red Cross, Dawn was the Director of Public Policy at the American Society of Association Executives. Recognized for her volunteer leadership and management skills, Dawn led various councils and committees and periodically advanced strategic initiatives supported by the Board of Directors. Her career began in the United States Senate.

In 2004, Dawn earned the designation of Certified Association Executive (CAE). And, in 2016, she completed a comprehensive course study in nonprofit management through the Institute for Organization Management (IOM) program.

Dawn is an avid volunteer in her community, serving on the on the Board of Directors of a local animal welfare organization and occasionally fostering cats and kittens in her home. She enjoys running (completed the Richmond Marathon 2015), riding her bicycle, and practicing yoga.
