Matthew Britt
General Manager, Sustainable Cities
Matthew Britt is general manager of Sustainable Cities for Honeywell Building Technologies (HBT). In this role, Matthew leads a customer-focused organization spanning sales, product and offering management, and operations aimed at helping cities and communities create a safer, more sustainable and resilient world.
Matthew has spent virtually his entire career in emerging technology, IoT and asset management, and successfully entering new markets. Prior to joining Honeywell, Matthew was vice president of global sales and marketing for NTT DOCOMO, the Japanese mobile communications arm of NTT, Inc., leading its 5G, IoT, and Smart City businesses. He led a globally distributed workforce focused on selling IoT applications and managed services to the public and private sectors. He and his team were involved in numerous global NTT smart city and mobility projects during his tenure including Woven City in Tokyo and the City of Las Vegas.
Matthew also held positions of increasing responsibility at leading mobility and IoT companies including AT&T, Numerex (acquired by Sierra Wireless in 2017), Avaya, and KORE Wireless, where he focused on revenue generation of new products and services in a global market.
Matthew received his bachelor’s degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and resides in Atlanta with his wife and two children.
