Janet Liff has spent her career at the nexus of transportation and real estate. As the principal of J Liff Co., a commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in New York City’s Midtown South market, she’s witnessed firsthand the immediate economic benefits of public space, street and transit improvements. Most recently, she launched The Neighborhood Empowerment Project at Open Plans, an initiative that addresses the lack of public space management in NYC. She’s Chair of the Board of Transportation Alternatives , a Director at Streetspac and holds a Masters of Public Administration from NYU/Wagner and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia.
