Mindy is a forward-thinking leader focused on achieving organizational growth and team development with over 20 years dedicated to the health, fitness and well-being industries. She is a highly effective team builder with a proven record of success. Her hands-on, participative management style brings teams together to create exceptional experiences and help the organization thrive. She fosters and encourages continuous innovation from every team member.
Originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Mindy has spent the majority of her life in the Mid-Atlantic region. She holds a degree in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech and completed the Rotary International Exchange program in Belgium. Her background includes commercial fitness center management and corporate well-being program management & business development. She is experienced in creating, developing, marketing and administering initiatives and revenue generating programs and is skilled in a variety of media relations formats. She holds the Certified Exercise Physiologist certification from the American College of Sports Medicine, the Exercise is Medicine Level 2 Credential and Group Fitness Instructor certification from the American Council on Exercise. Mindy has been a master trainer for both Life Fitness and LeMond Fitness. She currently sits on the Advisory Council for George Mason University’s Chief Well-being Officer program.
Mindy currently develops and implements the strategic business and growth plan for Adventist HealthCare LifeWork Strategies, AHC’s employer health services business offering comprehensive Employee Well-being and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) to employers nationwide. She leads and motivates a high performing team of well-being professionals who deliver exceptional service to a diverse book of business. Mindy works collaboratively with healthcare providers and organization leadership to ensure that interventions appropriately address employer client well-being needs. She also leads AHC’s $39 Million self-funded medical plan and the employee benefits department for AHC’s 5600+ employees – a plan that has saved over $34 Million in healthcare costs over the past 6 years.
Mindy’s love for movement inspiration runs deep, as she continues to teach group exercise classes regularly and is currently designing an onsite fitness center for a new hospital currently under construction in White Oak, Maryland. She regularly teaches group fitness classes to keep her fitness heart happy.
