Meg Smith has extensive experience working with lighting professionals, research organizations and utilities in the sustainable and intelligent lighting design marketplace. In her current role, Meg identifies application and innovation opportunities, working collaboratively with researchers and business leaders, synthesizing technical and market insights to drive innovation towards user-centric, differentiated solutions. She provides a comprehensive description of the space and the needs of those who occupy and manage it. The lighting needs include: lighting quality, human factors, and the effects of light on health and well-being. Non-lighting needs include market and business drivers such as sustainability and wellness goals, code and regulatory requirements. Meg is NCQLP Lighting Certified (LC), an active member of the IESNA, and has earned certification as both a LEED and WELL accredited professional.
