Marty Brennan

Associate Principal

Marty Brennan is a project architect and healthy building designer with ZGF Architects. He brings over ten years of experience in computational daylight analysis for clients including Microsoft, Expedia Group, Roche and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Marty recently co-authored Outcome-Based Design for Circadian Lighting: An Integrated Approach to Simulation & Metrics and developed the open-source Grasshopper plugin LARK, a tool for designers to visualize circadian light. He is currently leading the sustainability effort for Microsoft’s Washington Village and collaborating on a spectral lighting system for a neonatal intensive care unit. Marty holds a Master of Architecture degree and a certificate in lighting from the University of Washington. He was a research assistant at the Integrated Design Lab in Seattle, providing daylight and energy simulation for architects in the Northwest as well as contributing content to the Daylighting Pattern Guide.
