Principal, Sustainable Design Leader Health & Wellness

Mara Baum FAIA, LEED Fellow, EDAC, WELL AP, is a Principal and Sustainable Design Leader with HOK, where she leads HOK’s global health and wellness practice. Based in San Francisco, Mara brings two decades of experience in architecture, building science, urban planning, research, teaching and green building certification. A thought leader in design for health and wellness, she focuses on improving the wellbeing of the people who occupy workplaces, buildings and communities. Mara also provides strategic leadership for sustainable design and consulting across HOK’s Healthcare practice.

Mara holds a Master of Architecture and Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of California Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis.
