Luca Mazzei

Chief Growth Officer

Luca is the Chief Growth Officer at Aircuity, a pioneer in providing Indoor Environmental Quality monitoring and Demand Control Ventilation, and Before that, he was independent consultant focus on Industrial IoT and Innovation with his own Chicago-based firm, 3rd Coast Growth Partners as well as an Advisory partner with the IoT consultancy Momenta Partners. From 2014 until 2017, he was the Chief Growth Officer John Crane, the global leader in design, manufacturing and servicing of mechanical sealing systems for the Oil and Gas sector, where his responsibilities cover strategy, market intelligence, product management, pricing, corporate communications, and business development. Prior to John Crane, Luca was VP Global Strategy and Marketing for Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS), where he led the functionalization of the marketing team. Luca started his career at Bain & Company and held roles at Siebel Systems and GE Transportation in Europe before moving to the US.
 
Luca holds a Ph.D. in Computational Mechanics and Master Degrees in both Aeronautics and Astronautics and Mathematics, all from Stanford University. He first graduated cum laude in Aeronautic Engineering at the University of Naples “Federico II”, Italy, majoring in Computational Fluid Dynamics. He enjoys running, Italian motorcycles, and is overly opinionated about espresso and pizza.
