Dr. Jun Chen

CEO

Dr. CHEN Jun is the CEO of Shanghai Material Intelligence Co. Ltd., a company that focuses on utilizing IT technology to promote products and materials transparency in China, particularly in tracing toxic chemicals of building materials. He is also the head of R&D center at Shanghai Landleaf Architecture Technology Co. Ltd., which is a top engineering procurement construction company of mechanical system for green building in China. Dr. Chen leads Landleaf research group, carrying out research projects in built environment, radiation air-conditioning system and ground source heat pump. Dr. Chen was a principal research scientist at Shanghai Research Institute of Building Science, prior to 2014 when he joined Landleaf.

The research interests of Dr. Chen are in building environment engineering and environmentally friendly materials. His research topics include indoor air quality, displacement ventilation and photocatalytic nano-materials. He has published over 10 journal articles with over 300 SCI citations. His research was supported by National Key Technology R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. He is a member of the standard committee for Indoor Air Quality of Public Building in China. He received Ph.D. Degree in Civil Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and M.S. Degree in Environmental Technology from the University of Manchester, UK.
