Finnur Pind
Acoustics researcher
Finnur Pind is an acoustics researcher at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and at the building design studio Henning Larsen. He holds a BSc in electrical- and computer engineering from the University of Iceland, a MSc in acoustical engineering from DTU and is currently in the finishing stages of his PhD studies at DTU in acoustical engineering. Prior to his research career, Finnur was a software engineer and an acoustical consultant for several years.
His current research efforts are at the intersection of room acoustics simulations, spatial audio, computational mathematics, software engineering, signal processing, architectural acoustics, and virtual reality. He has published in international journals on acoustics.
In his spare time, Finnur enjoys spending time with his family, lifting heavy things and making weird noises with his electric guitar.
