Technical Director - Sustainability and Healthy Buildings

Eszter leads Mott MacDonald’s Cambridge-based sustainability consultant team, offering specialist sustainability consultancy services to other Mott MacDonald’s offices and clients in the UK, the rest of Europe, North America and the Middle East. Trained as an organic and analytical chemist, Eszter uses her scientific understanding and over ten years’ of professional experience to advise developers, owner-occupiers and product suppliers about the chemistry and health implications of construction products and associated trends, emerging regulations and voluntary standards. Her specific expertise concerns European product transparency and health requirements for construction products as well as the implementation and management of such requirements for real-life projects.

A global lead for healthy buildings for Mott MacDonald, she takes a leadership role in raising the profile of health and wellbeing in the built environment, motivating others and safeguarding technical excellence. She holds degrees from Harvard University and the University of California, Berkeley and is a LEED AP, WELL AP and a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers in the UK. In 2019 she was serving on the WELL Industrial Sector Advisory and was previously a member of the Water Efficiency Technical Advisory Group of the USGBC.
