Dr. Dawn Errede

Assistant Manager, Industrial Hygiene

Dawn Errede is an industrial hygienist, certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene. She earned her PhD in Environmental Health from the University of Minnesota, investigating the influence of substrate on mycotoxin production by indoor mold.

At the Metropolitan Airports Commission in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dr. Errede investigates indoor air quality complaints, works with labor and management representatives to recognize, evaluate and control workplace hazards and assists with investigation and resolution of injury claims from the traveling public. Dr. Errede partners with airport staff to control exposure of airport workers to contaminants such as silica dust from runway repairs, lead dust in a gun range, carbon monoxide and ultrafine particles in tug drives, and mold from water-damaged building materials.

Previously, Dr. Errede served for 19 years as the Chemical Hygiene and Research Safety Officer for the University of Minnesota, as well as six years in consulting conducting health risk assessments for Superfund sites and site inspections and RCRA Facility Assessments for the EPA.
