Clare Parry

Clare is a curious human, who’s pursuit of knowing why and how started with irreversibly dismantling her mum’s typewriter, followed by more focussed pursuits of mechanical engineering and business. Her career eventually led towards Passivhaus and the Living Building Challenge, though she’s still working on
perfecting a brief on what constitutes “best practice.” For now, it all starts with the central tenets of health, wellbeing, comfort and economy - the four pillars of Passivhaus - and is gradually moving towards a more holistic view of the potential positive impact of the built environment.

Clare is a Director Grün Consulting, a specialist high-performance buildings consultancy operating across Australia and South East Asia, and previously Director and Chair of the Australian Passive House Association. Grün Consulting is a sustainability consulting firm. Our passion is excellence in buildings. We specialise in buildings for people; those that are healthy and comfortable. We focus on Passive House (Passivhaus), as well as nearly-zero, net-zero and net positive energy and carbon buildings.
