Charlotte is an expert in environmental and mental health epidemiology. She has advised government on health impacts of large infrastructure projects and was the sole advisor for the UK Airport Commission on the noise and health effects of the proposed runway expansion schemes (2013-2015). She has designed and managed research projects examining noise and health and has contributed to evidence reviews on the effects of environmental noise on health, wellbeing and learning for the World Health Organization and the International Civil Aviation Organization. She currently leads ISO WG62, which is tasked with reviewing/revising the existing noise annoyance standard (ISO/TS 14666). Charlotte has published over 60 papers in the field of environmental noise and health epidemiology.
