Carol is Little’s Corporate President where her responsibilities include cultivating a client-centered experience, delivering thoughtful, high-performing designs to progressive clients and for creating a culture that supports the most curious minds in the industry as they build a rewarding career that they’re proud of.

With over 35 years in practice as an architect Carol is a thought leader in the design profession at the intersection of human neurobiology and the spaces we occupy, exploring and quantifying the effects that buildings have on the people who occupy them. She is a vocal advocate of salutogenic design focusing on factors in the built environment that support well-being, and their impact on human health, productivity and happiness. She and her firm have completed a number of WELL-certified buildings - including one of the first in Silicon Valley on a Superfund site – and has insights into translating something from the page into a reality.

A guest critic and lecturer at many design schools, Ms. Rickard-Brideau has been published both nationally and internationally and is frequent, featured presenter at national conferences on WELL Building design and architectural practice.
