Allison Smith

Sustainable Design Manager

Allison Smith, WELL AP, LEED AP ID+C, Fitwel Ambassador, is a Sustainable Design Manager at HKS. She helps teams set sustainability goals and then guides teams to meet their sustainability goals, whether those are a third-party certification or other targets. Allison has managed over 25 sustainability projects, totaling over $1.8 billion in construction – including multiple WELL projects. She promotes responsible material selection and supports materials transparency initiatives including Health Product Declaration Collaborative (HPDC) technical committees, the USGBC Materials and Resources Technical Advisory Group (MR TAG) and the mindful MATERIALS Collaborative.

Allison holds a Master of Interior Architecture from the University of Oregon in Eugene, and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado in Boulder.

Most days, you can find Allison working in her community garden.
