Use this roadmap to register, study and pass your WELL AP exam to join our global community of leaders. Ready to get started? Follow our step-by-step guide:

1. Create a WELL account

Log into your existing user account, or create a new WELL account.
Your WELL account is your key to accessing all things WELL. You’ll unlock access to helpful webcasts and resources, register for your exam and connect with the WELL AP community all through your WELL account.

2. Review the WELL AP Candidate Handbook

The WELL AP Candidate Handbook is a detailed overview of eligibility requirements, pricing options and test day expectations for the WELL AP exam. Before registering for the exam, review the eligibility requirements, pricing options and policies on testing accommodations and cancellations in the handbook.

3. Register for your WELL AP exam

Register for the WELL AP exam through your WELL account by following the instruction prompts on the screen. Once you have completed the registration process, you are given a unique eligibility ID (EID) and may schedule your exam at a Prometric Test Center or through a remotely proctored internet-enabled (online) location of your choice with Prometrics’ ProProctor tool.

You’ll have 365 days after registration to schedule and take the WELL AP exam, so you have the option to schedule your test date now or later.

5. Schedule your WELL AP exam test date

Use your exam eligibility ID (EID) to schedule your exam at a Prometric testing center near you, or schedule an online-proctored test with Prometic’s remote proctoring service ProProctor.

We recommend studying for at least 2-3 months before your scheduled exam date—the WELL AP exam is a three-hour-long exam containing 115 multiple choice questions

6. Passed your exam? Showcase your WELL AP credential!

Once your exam results have been processed, you can download a copy of your certificate through your WELL Account. The WELL AP exam is scored on a scale from 125-200 and a score of 170 or higher is required to pass. Scores are displayed on screen at the end of an exam, and within 72 hours your results and credential will be updated in your WELL account.

After passing the exam, we encourage you to showcase your WELL AP credential, engage with the WELL AP community and create a profile (through your WELL account) for the WELL people directory.
