Media alert: Drew Brees to keynote IWBI's inaugural WELL Building Conference
New York, NY (October 1, 2014) – Today, the International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI™) announced that New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees will speak as a keynote panelist and moderator at WELL 2014, IWBI’s first annual conference on health and wellness in real estate.
The conference will take place on October 20, 2014, in New Orleans at the Roosevelt Hotel, convening commercial and residential design, construction and real estate professionals who want to lead the market in health and wellness real estate. Brees will moderate the afternoon keynote panel at the WELL Symposium, entitled “Building a Wellness Movement.” Participants on the panel will include Chief Wellness Officer of the Cleveland Clinic Michael F. Roizen, M.D., and International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) and Delos Founder and CEO Paul Scialla.
The panel discussion will explore how we can build healthier homes, offices, and schools that support our health and wellbeing. Drew Brees is an American football quarterback and the 2009 Super Bowl MVP-winning quarterback for the New Orleans Saints. As much pride as Brees takes in his on field performance, he takes even more pride in his community service endeavors.
Drew and his wife, Brittany, established the Brees Dream Foundation in 2003 and since then have contributed over $20,000,000 to help improve the quality of life for cancer patients and provide care, education and opportunities for children and families in need. WELL 2014 is the first annual conference for commercial and residential design, construction, and real estate professionals who want to lead the market and build a movement for wellness real estate – a pioneering concept that marries design and construction with evidence-based technologies to support personal wellbeing and health. WELL 2014 will culminate with the public release of v1.0 of the WELL Building Standard®.
The WELL 2014 conference will feature a full-day of programming, including keynote presentations, breakout sessions and immersive workshops.
